The importance of staying informed to better understand the benefits and issues of sound massage with singing bowls
worth knowing
It's worth noting that various theories attempt to explain why sound experiences can promote deep relaxation and alleviate pain. One of them is that sound can function as a vibratory technique throughout the body, stimulating tactile fibers that affect pain perception. A study on fibromyalgia showed that low-frequency sound stimulation for several weeks can help reduce pain and improve sleep, allowing participants to reduce their treatments.
Sound therapy has also been helpful for people suffering from arthritis, menstrual pain, postoperative knee pain, and for improving mobility, reducing muscle pain and stiffness, increasing blood circulation, and lowering blood pressure.
It is important to note that sound therapy should not be considered as an alternative to traditional medical treatments and should be used in conjunction with appropriate medical care.
However, sound therapy is a constantly evolving field of study, and the scientific community continues to seek to understand how sound can aid in healing. Current findings are encouraging, and an analysis of 400 scientific articles on music as medicine revealed that music has beneficial effects on mental and physical health, including improving mood and reducing stress. Rhythm, in particular, can even help alleviate physical pain.
